COPO - Mid-IR wavelength selectable laser system

Covesion's wavelength-selectable optical parametric oscillator system allows complete access to the 1390-4200 nm range. Based on our MgO:PPLN crystals, every COPO is a stand-alone system integrating a pump laser and control electronics, allowing the desired wavelength to be easily selected at the push of a button.

Simple, turnkey operation

  • Covesion's benchtop unit is a user-friendly stand-alone system. The laser is operational with turnkey access and controlled with the simple push-button user interface on the front panel.
  • The signal and idler wavelengths are inherently linked through energy conservation with the pump wavelength. As the user selects the signal wavelength from 1390nm to 2094nm on the front panel, the corresponding idler wavelength is also displayed. The COPO then calculates the conditions for phase matching and automatically tunes the system to the desired output.
  • The COPO laser unit has a manually operated filter selection to access the signal, idler or unfiltered OPO output. Collinear visible laser light at these outputs can be utilized for easy optical alignment.
