For fixed wavelength applications PPLN should be maintained at a constant operating temperature for maximum conversion efficiency. In tunable wavelength applications the temperature of the crystal can be adjusted for fine wavelength tuning. To facilitate the maximum performance of our PPLN crystals we supply a range of essential thermal management components including a range of PPLN ovens for temperature stabilisation and accompanying crystal clip kits for antistatic protection.

Temperature Controller
Our range of PPLN ovens are optimised for use with our recently developed OC1 temperature controller units. This combination provides long term stability to maintain optimised conversion efficiency from our MgO:PPLN crystals. The OC1 automatic oven detection system allows users to quickly change between ovens without complicated PID calibration.

PPLN Crystal Clip Kits
Our crystal clip kits allow customers to mount alternative materials in Covesion PPLN ovens. They are designed to hold 0.5-1mm thick optical slabs, with widths of 10mm or less and lengths of 1-40mm (by clip length). Each clip kit contains a clip body, a spacer window, and a number of springs.
