Biomedical

MgO:PPLN is a key component in a whole host of medical applications such as: DNA Sequencing, Flow Cytometry, Capillary Electrophoresis and Fluorescence Microscopy. Using our unique production technique, these crystals provide simple system integration, with high efficiency and stability over a large wavelength range from the visible to mid-infrared.

MgO:PPLN can be used to create the complete range of required wavelengths that are either not available from a semi-conductor source, or where narrow spectral linewidths are required. By careful selection of pump wavelength and poled period, laser output can be made to exactly match the optimum excitation frequency of most commonly used fluorophores
