Femtosecond lasers

Femtosecond lasers can be frequency doubled with a very high conversion efficiency (>60%) from crystals as short as 300um. Covesion’s unique poling process ensures domain straightness and integrity, enabling the production of such short crystals where even a small number of merged domains can have a significant performance impact.  MgO:PPLN has a high fs-damage threshold and can withstand the large peak powers  of most femtosecond sources.  Such MgO:PPLN-based lasers are frequently used in: Terahertz generation, frequency comb stabilisation and metrology.
