MgO:PPLN for Difference Frequency Generation
1064nm and tunable Ti-Sapphire for Mid-IR generation
Magnesium doped PPLN for Difference Frequency Generation (DFG) from a Nd:YAG laser and a tunable Ti-Sapphire (or similar) lasers, for mid-IR generation in the 2-4.5µm range. The output wavelength can be tuned with each PPLN grating by adjusting the input laser wavelength and varying the PPLN temperature.

PPLN Ovens
For fixed wavelength applications PPLN should be maintained at a constant operating temperature for maximum conversion efficiency. In tunable wavelength applications the temperature of the crystal can be adjusted for fine wavelength tuning.
